Two Victorian Aesthetic Period Seven Light Chandeliers

Description: Beautiful Large Victorian 7 light chandelier influenced by the late 19th Century Aesthetic Movement. From a Victorian estate in Brenham, Texas. Six bronzed brass arms hang from a central pillar to support lamps with etched glass shades and crystal prism dangles. Over 100 triangular and square shaped prisms adorn each chandelier. The central column includes enameled ceramic collars with a stunning floral design and ends with a lamp surrounded by crystals at its base. Cast round and fan-shaped bolts are intricately detailed for their structural purpose. Many of the etched shades have been replaced over the years (4 different patterns currently). Minor chips to several crystals and the edges of the ceramic collar (see photo below right). Original patina. Rewired. Dimensions: 36" diameter and 56" heigth.

Description: Vintage Folk Art Seashell Lamp - This seashell table lamp is a magnificent example of early 20th C. American folk art. One half of a fluted giant clam shell sweeps over an ocean garden scene comprised of a variety of coral and conch, scallop and other shells. Three of the small scallop shells are painted green, and the others are placed to highlight their natural colors, with just a few painted touches added for effect. The shells are solidly mounted on a plaster base which is painted in a faux marble or swirl motif. This vintage seashell lamp is in excellent working condition, with no repairs or breaks. Ca. 1940.
